Research Focus: Enterprise architecture; IT governance; IT in health care; IT in the supply chain
Randy V. Bradley is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Bradley worked as an IT consultant in both government and commercial sectors for Camber Operations and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and as a Systems Engineer for Southwire Company. He currently teaches healthcare IT strategy (with particular emphasis on electronic health records) in UT’s Physician Executive MBA program, information resources management and IT strategic planning in UT’s Aerospace and Defense MBA, Professional MBA, and Global Supply Chain Executive MBA and Executive Development programs. Additionally, he teaches IT for supply chain management in the Supply Chain Management undergraduate program.
Dr. Bradley’s research interests include the use of IT in the healthcare domain, the strategic value of enterprise architecture, the interplay between IT strategy and supply chain performance, and strategic information systems planning. His research has appeared or is forthcoming in the Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Sciences Journal, MIS Quarterly Executive, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Information Technology, and The Journal of Pediatric Pharmacology and Therapeutics. He has presented his work at numerous academic and professional conferences and has received several teaching and academic awards during his career. Most recently, Dr. Bradley was nominated for the Tennessee Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Emerging HIT Leader of the Year Award, which recognizes healthcare technology professionals under 40 who show promise as an effective leader within their company or Tennessee HIMSS.
