Richard C. Reizenstein is Emeritus Associate Professor of Marketing in the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and Director of the Executive-in-Residence Program in the Haslam College of Business. He received his A.B. degree from Princeton University and his M.B.A. and Ph. D. from Cornell University. He also served in various Sales Management capacities with Gorham (division of Textron) where his last position was National Sales Manager. Dr. Reizenstein was Associate Dean of the Haslam College of Business from 1982-1991 and Interim Head of the Department of Marketing and Logistics and Transportation from 1998-2000.

Dr. Reizenstein's primary teaching and research expertise is in the application of Marketing Strategy to the creation or enhancement of value to customers, both internal and external to the firm. His current research interests are focused on investigating the nature of the interaction between functional disciplines within Marketing (e.g. Brand vs. Sales Management), as well as between Marketing and other related functional areas within companies (such as Logistics) and in developing innovative teaching approaches using visiting senior business executives as well as digitized television commercials and websites. He has published in such diverse journals as Harvard Business Review, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, and the Journal of Marketing Education and has given numerous presentations at meetings of professional associations such as the American Marketing Association and the Association for Consumer Research. He also has consulted in his expertise areas with a variety of regional, national and multinational companies.

Dr. Reizenstein teaches in the undergraduate, MBA, and Physicians’ Executive MBA Programs and has been the recipient of numerous campuswide and College of Business teaching awards. With his multilingual capabilities, he has taught Executive MBA Programs in several countries, including Romania, Russia and Taiwan, and leads the annual International MBA Study Tour which was be in Chile in 2006 after over a decade in France and the Czech Republic.
